LAXMI GROUP

On the 9th of October, 2023; SDA School of Business Studies organized a visit to a Laxmi Group, Vatva GIDC factory. The factory produces items for real-estate building such as nuts, bolts, hinges etc.
The motive behind this visit was to make students see first hand the various production process, its flow of production, its environment and the management system.
The personnel at the factory site guided us through all the details of the manufacturing process. First off we started at the raw material processing where crude plastic is refined and made into usable work in progress items then further attached to other work in progress goods and it was fulfilling to see the end product and how the management in the factory meticulous maintained its flow without losing much waste of materiel and time.
We then visited other departments of the factory such as the account department who showed us the system, they used to maintain the books and financial records of the factory. It is also worth mentioning that we also visited the workers who spoke up about the environment of the factory, suggesting that the place rendered job satisfaction to its workers.
The visit ended with the CEO giving us a final rundown of what we went through, and we had a group photograph session with them. All in all, the visit was a success and we learned a lot of things over there that will enhance our classroom earning.
